Gabriella Marilyn Muttone is a multimedia visual artist. She is best recognized for her sensual imagery in the medium of photography utilizing her love for traditional photographic technique in composition and lighting.

The middle daughter of Italian immigrants, Gabriella was born into to a very traditional set of cultural family values based on patriarchy and Roman Catholicism. This was in direct contrast to the progressive free-thinking Canadian environment surrounding her on the beautiful north shores of Lake Ontario where she grew up. This dichotomy inspired Gabriella to establish, at a very young age, her own independent voice. Creativity her tool for self-empowerment and freedom from historically oppressive cultural ideals.

At 6 Gabriella won her first art competition. At 13 she took her first photograph on her first SLR camera. 4 years later at 17, she was discovered on the streets of Toronto and flourished in front of the camera within the international commercial modeling industry whilst getting hands on training on how things worked from behind the camera every time she walked on set. It was the perfect situation as Gabriella started building her own photography portfolio and fell more deeply in love with photography and its power to tell stories and connect people. She didn’t set out to model for herself, yet it seemed inevitable. A large part of her personal work sits in self portraiture which she continues to develop to this day.

As a woman in what often feels like a man’s world, Gabriella stands assuredly in the support and the empowerment of women even when her work stirs up controversy to the contrary. Her imagery reflects her passion for beauty and harmony in a world that she chooses to see through rose colored glasses.

Assisting iconic photographers, mentoring young artists at The Barbizon Modeling and Acting schools, teaching posing for the camera at the Los Angeles Center of Photography, modeling in collaboration with established photographers, and being affiliated with and contributing to top level photographic societies are all important to her and support Gabriella’s love of photographic expression.

Her photographic achievements within published works, exhibits, and awards include 2018 OPEN SHOW San Diego #9 and 2022 OPEN SHOW Los Angeles #67, muse to Michael Grecco’s solo show ‘After The Audition’ at The Leica Gallery 2018, the 2020 Houston Center of Photography exhibit ‘Togethering’, silver medal recipient at The Portrait Masters Awards in Boudoir 2022, contributing writer/photographer since 2021 and featured back cover artist of The Royal Photographic Society’s Women In Photography ‘We Are’ Magazine 2024. Her fashion has appeared in Japanese Vogue, her architectural and product work in Dream Homes, Interiors, Elle Decor and the most recent back cover for Milieu, Winter 2025.

Today Gabriella lives and works in Los Angeles. She is currently head photographer at Kerry Joyce Atelier in Silverlake. Her personal work can be found in private collections internationally.
